Ninth Meeting of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) of our Sasya Shyamala KVK, RKMVERI was held today, the 30th August, 2022 in the Training Hall of the KVK.
After two years of virtual world this Year we met in hybrid mode. Most of the members were present physically while Swami Sarvalokanandaji Maharaj, Secretary of RKMission Ashrama Narendrapur, Director of ICAR-CRIJAF Dr. Gouranga Kar, Director of SAMETI Dr. Manas Ghosh, Head of ICAR-CIBA Dr. Debasish De, Principal Scientist of ATARI Dr. Partha Pratim Pal, Project Director of ATMA Dr. Bappaditya Senapati attended virtually. The meeting was chaired by Swami Shivapurnanandaji Mj, Asstt Admin Head, IRDM F/c and Vice Chairman of SAC of the KVK. Director of Extension Education of Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya (BCKV) Prof. Umesh Thapa, Heads of ICAR-NBSSLUP Kolkata Centre, ICAR-CSSRI Canning, ICAR-CIFE Dr. S. K. Roy, Dr. D. Burman and Dr. G. H. Pailan, Dy. Director of ARD Dept. Dr. T. S. Pan, Dy. Director of FPI and Horticulture Dept. Mr. Koushik Chakraborty, Dy. DREF of WBUAFS Dr. N. J. Maitra, Asstt. Director of Seed Certification Dr. Sukanta Karmakar, Programme Executive of Kolkata Doordarshan Mr. Surajit Naskar, Editor of Sabuj Sona Mr. Debabrata Mitra, Farmers and Farm Women representatives Mr. Amitabha Sharma, Mr. Tapan Maity, Mrs. Meera Patra, Mrs. Mousumi Das and all the staff members of the KVK attended the meeting physically. DEE, BCKV attended the SAC meeting for the first time in nine years of establishment of our KVK. Action Taken Report of the recommendations of the last SAC meeting (16 December, 2021), Annual Report (2021) and Action Plan (2022) of the KVK were presented and discussed. All the esteemed members highly appreciated the diverse activities and wonderful infrastructure development of the SSKVK. Some suggestions were made by different members.
