Awareness and field demonstration programmes on Application of drone in aquaculture (sprayed water probiotic for winter management) were organized in Saheberabad I and II and other villages of Kheyada GP of Sonarpur Block of Sonarpur Block of South 24 Parganas District.
Total one ha area of water bodies was covered today (25 November, 2023) for spraying probiotics as a part of winter management of water bodies. Total 100 villagers from DST-SEED (Dept. of Sc. & Technology, Science for Equity, Empowerment and Development) project villages of East Kolkata Wetlands, Kheyadah, Sonarpur participated in the programme. Dr. Krishnendu Ray, SMS, Agronomy, one of the 3 licensed pilots of our KVK organized today’s programme. Dr. Swagat Ghosh, Principal Investigator of DST (SEED) Project, Govt. of India coordinated the programme. Our KVK has been provided with two Agricultural Drones. We are trying to popularize application of Drone in Agriculture and Aquaculture in South 24 Parganas district.
