“Vivekananda Krishi Mitra Prakalpa” is now being implemented by Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI) on the eve of 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission. Under this project Agricultural Technology Awareness Programme (ATAP) was organized on 14 October, 2023 by ‘Sasya Shyamala’ Krishi Vigyan Kendra (SSKVK) in collaboration with Ramakrishna Ashrama at Paruldaha, Baruipur. It also marks the auspicious birth anniversary of Swami Akhandanandaji who was a brother disciple of Swami Vivekananda and the founder of Ramakrishna Vedanta Math at Sanfansisco, USA. Dr. Archan Kanti Das, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIFRI and Dr. B. K. Mahapatra, ex Officer In-charge, ICAR-CIFE Kolkata, Dr. Swagat Ghosh, SMS (Fisheries) and Dr. Monidipta Saha, Prog. Asstt. (Lab. Tech.) of Sasya Shyamala Krishi Vigyan Kendra took part in the discussion and replied to the questions of farmers. Member of Gram Panchayat Shri. Binod Naskar also addressed the farmers. More than 110 farmers, farm women and rural youths participated in the programme. Agricultural, horticultural and fisheries technologies and its potential were discussed. Success stories of farmers and a documentary on 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission were showed through video presentation.
