A Pranisampad Pradarshani (Animal Resources Exhibition) was organized by Office of the BLDO, Sonarpur, Dept. of Animal Resources Development in collaboration with Sasya Shyamala Krishi Vigyan Kendra (SSKVK), RKMVERI in the Instructional Farm of the KVK at Arapanch today (26th September, 2023) under National Livestock Mission (NLM) for technology dissemination to the farmers in the field of Animal Husbandry. The programme was inaugurated by Swami Shivapurnanandaji Mj., Asstt. Administrative Head, IRDM F/c and Vice Chairman, SSKVK in presence of Mr. Balai Ch. Barik, Sabhapati, Sonarpur Panchayat Samiti, Mr. Prasanna Biswas, Karmadhyaksha, Matsya o Pranisampad Sthayee Samiti, Dr. Nishith Panda, Dy. Director of Animal Resources Development Department, South 24 Parganas, Dr. Santanu Bera, Asstt. Professor, WBUAFS, Mr. Sourav Dhalla, BDO, Sonarpur. About 150 farmers, farm women, rural youths, 30 Pranimitras participated in the programme. An Exhibition was organized with display of improved breeds of animals and poultry birds, stalls of the Department, WBLDC, Sundorini and SSKVK. Two Seminars were organized on “Role of Animal Husbandry in Women Entrepreneurship Development through FPOs and Clusters” and “Different Govt. Schemes for Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Development in Animal Husbandry Sector.” Artists of the Department of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of West Bengal presented folk songs.
