Agricultural Technology Awareness Programme (ATAP) under Vivekananda Krishi Mitra Prakalpa in commemoration of the 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission was successfully organized by Sasya Shyamala KVK, RKMVERI at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Naora, Bhangar I Block, South 24 Parganas. More than 120 farmers, farm women and rural youths participated in the programme. It was inaugurated by Revered Swami Medhasanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Nippon Vedanta Society, Japan in presence of Revered Swami Divyarupanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Math, Naora. Dr. Sarbaswarup Ghosh, SMS (Vet. and Ani. Sc.), Dr. KrishnenduRay, SMS (Agronomy), Dr. Prasenjit Kundu, SMS (Horticulture), Dr. Monidipta Saha, Programme Assistant (Lab Technician) and Dr. N. C. Sahu, Head, Sasya Shyamala KVK, RKMVERI attended the programme. Technologies for maintaining and improving soil health, horticulture, crop production and animal husbandry for livelihood development of farmers and the courses and facilities of RKMVERI were discussed by the experts. A documentary on 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission was projected.
