ICAR-Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute (CIFRI), under the Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) scheme, organized a programme to promote aquaculture adoption among Scheduled Tribe (ST) farmers, which included the distribution of fish seed and feed alongside special awareness camps and exposure visits on integrated fish farming systems such as paddy-cum-fish and duck-cum-fish farming for 150 participants from the Block Sonarpur and Bhangore I. The programme was inaugurated by Br. Soumitra and Dr. Swagat Ghosh, Senior Scientist and Head. At the same time, Dr Pradip Day, ICAR-ATARI-Kolkata & Director in Charge, ICAR-CIFRI, delivered his address virtually as the chief guest.
