On February 10, 2022, SSKVK, in collaboration with ICAR-NBSS&LUP, Regional Centre, Kolkata, organized one-day training on crop planning and production under SCSP scheme for Majherpara village of Canning II block of South 14 Parganas. The KVK also celebrated World Pulses Day with different other Institutes in both online and offline mode. Participants for the World Pulse Day celebration was 97. Total 57 participants attended the one-day training programme. Scientists from ICAR-NBSS&LUP and Subject Matter Specialists from the KVK delivered lecture on importance of pulse crops, ways to develop entrepreneurs by producing and selling quality seeds of pulse crops etc. Also the integrated crop management and soil health management for jute crop for upcoming summer season was also discussed in the one-day training. At the end the farmer participants were distributed with jute seeds for the forthcoming season.
