Sasya Shyamala Krishi Vigyan Kendra organized the “Farmers interactive programme on “Commemoration of 75 years of Independence Bharat Ka Amrit Mahotsav”” sponsored by ATMA, Soutn 24 Parganas, Govt. of West Bengal on 4th February, 2022 at training hall of Sasya Shyamala Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Arapanch, Sonarpur, South 24 Parganas, Kolkata-700150. The programme has been start with lighting the lamp with Vedic Chanting. Dr. Narayan Chandra Sahu, Head, SSKVK on behalf of the KVK, delivered the welcome address and narrated the importance of the today’s programme of 75 years of Independence Bharat Ka Amrit Mahotsav..Revered Swami Sarvalokananda Ji Maharaj, Hon’ble Secretary of R.K. Mission Ashrama, Narendrapur mentioned the importance of pulse in human life and influenced the farmers in pulse production at the present socio-economic condition in their speech. Dr. Sanjay Bhomik, ADA, Fertilizer delivered a speech on different Govt. schemes and constraint of pulse production in district. Dr. Krishnendu Ray discussed on improved approaches for increasing pulses production. Dr. Abhijit Ghosal discussed on integrated pest management of pulse crops. Dr. Ram Babu Raman discussed varietal replacement and their seed production for increasing area & productivity of pulse crops.
All together 50 farmers were present in the programme and they interacted with the expert on different constraint regarding the increasing area and productivity of pulses.
