Agricultural Technology Awareness Programme (ATAP) under Vivekananda Krishi Mitra Prakalpa in commemoration of the 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission was successfully organized by Sasya Shyamala KVK, RKMVERI at Dakshin Jaykrishnapur, Mathurapur II block on 29.09.2023. More than 100 farmers, farm women and rural youths participated in the programme. Mrs. Madhabi Haldar Purkait, Member – Zilla Parishad, South 24 Parganas district, Mr. Kanailal Giri, Upa-Pradhan, Nandakumarpur Gram Panchayat, Mathurapur II block, Mr. Amit Chakraborty, Krishi Prajukti Sahayak, Mrs. Soma Maity, Block Technology Manager and Mr. Jaydeep Pal, Assistant Technology Manager, Mathurapur II Block, office bearers of Dakshin Jaykrishnapur Khudra Jalabibhajika Prakalpa, alongwith Dr. Ram Babu Raman, SMS (Pl. Breeding and Seed Sc.) and Dr. Krishnendu Ray, SMS (Agronomy), SSKVK, RKMVERI attended the programme. Different new technologies like biofortified varieties of different crops and their cultivation practices, baby corn production and marketing, rice-fallow intensification with pulses and oilseeds and seed production of different field crops etc. were discussed in the programme for creating awareness among the farmers of the villages.
