Sasya Shyamala KVK, RKMVERI is implementing one Project under Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan (SCSP) funded by ICAR-IIAB, Ranchi for the economic upliftment of farmers belonging to SC community in five villages of Basanti Block with the help of Kultali Milantirtha Society. Four 4-days’ training programmes are being organized on Animal Husbandry, Aquaculture, Soil Health Management (SHM) and Natural Farming.
Total 120 farmers, farm women and rural youths (30 in each training programme) will be participating in these four training programmes. Today was the valediction of two training programmes (Aquaculture and Soil Health Management). Director ATARI Kolkata Dr. Pradip Dey, Soil Survey Officer of Soil and Land Use Survey of India (SLUSI) Dr. Saumen Saha and President of the Kultali Milantirtha Society Mr. Lokman Molla and staff members of SS KVK were present in the programme. Vermicompost and Vermiwash were given to all the participants of SHM training while pH paper and fish feed were distributed to the trainees of Aquaculture training. The dignitaries visited the Fish Feed Mill and DST Innovation Hub of the KVK.
