A one day Training on Horticulture and Awareness Generation Programme on the Schemes of National Horticulture Board (NHB) and the Department of Horticulture, Government of West Bengal was held on 1st June, 2023 at Sasya Shyamala Krishi Vigyan Kendra, RKMVERI. Swami Shivapurnanandaji Mj, Asstt. Admin. Head, IRDM Faculty Centre and Vice Chairman, Sasya Shyamala KVK, Dr. N. C. Sahu, Head, SSKVK, Mr. Surendra Singh, Dy. Director, NHB, Mr. Dipak Sarkar, Dist. Horticulture Officer, South 24 Parganas, Mr. Deepak Sahoo, District Development Manager, NABARD, South 24 Parganas were present in the programme and discussed on different schemes of the government. Dr. Prasenjit Kundu, SMS (Horticulture) and Dr. Abhijit Ghosal, SMS (Pl Protn.) of the KVK discussed on the prospects of horticultural development and plant protection aspects of horticulture in the programme. 60 farmers, farm women, rural youths and nursery men attended the programme.
