The inaugural programme for the 14th and 15th batches of the DAESI course at Sasya Shyamala KVK, RKMVERI, took place at the Training Hall of the Sasya Shyamala KVK in Arapanch, Sonarpur, on November 27, 2025.
Dr. Swagat Ghosh, Senior Scientist and Head, Sasya Shyamala KVK, RKMVERI, delivered the welcome address. Following this, Dr. Debojyoti Mahalanobis, State Consultant for the DAESI programme from SAMETI-WB, RKM, Narendrapur, discussed the course outline, norms, theory and practical examination procedures, minimum attendance requirements, and other essential details.
Smt. Antima Halder, Assistant Director of Agriculture (Farm), SARF, Baruipur, South 24 Pgs., briefly discussed the roles of the DAESI trained participants. Dr. Prasenjit Kundu (SMS, Horticulture), Dr. Abhijit Ghosal (SMS, Plant Protection), and Dr. Krishnendu Ray (SMS, Agronomy) shared their experiences from previous batches and discussed the overall strategic management required for the DAESI programme.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks offered by Dr. Monidipta Saha, Programme Assistant (Lab Tech.), Sasya Shyamala KVK, RKMVERI.”
