Glimses of The Krishi Mela-Feb 2025 , Theme: Natural resource conservation technologies. A great celebration of agriculture, knowledge, and innovation was organized by Sasya Shyamala Krishi Vigyan Kendra (SSKVK), Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI) on February 24-25, 2025 at kvk instructional farm.
Rooted in the noble mission of serving and uplifting the farming community, this event was a beacon of hope and progress, bringing together farmers, scientists, government officials, and agricultural experts to share wisdom, explore modern technologies, and reinforce the harmony between traditional practices and contemporary advancements. The Mela aimed to empower farmers with knowledge, equip them with innovative techniques, and inspire them toward a future of self-reliance and prosperity.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Swami Sarvattomanandaji VC, RKMVERI, Swami Shivapurnanandaji Maharaj (Vice Chairman, SSKVK, RKMVERI), Dr. B.K. Das (Director, CIFRI) alongside several other distinguished dignitaries whose insights and guidance added immense value to the gathering.
At its heart, Krishi Mela-2025 was a tribute to the relentless spirit of our farmers—the backbone of our nation—who toil tirelessly nourish the world. It was a space where tradition met innovation, where wisdom was shared freely, and where every farmer left not just with knowledge, but with renewed hope and confidence for a brighter agricultural future.
The total number of stalls were 25, including 5 ICAR institutions, State line departments, SAMETI, University, FPCs, NGO and others… A total of more than 1000 visitors visited during this technology week celebration.
